We had a great week back! The Spring Break journals have been so fun to share! They are great!
The kids are doing a great job being quiet while the upper grades are testing. I have been very proud of them! Thanks for getting all the field trip forms turned in! We are excited to get to go to the CNC! Invites for our STEAM day should have come home Friday. We are looking forward to showing you what STEAM looks like in the classroom. If you can come that is great, but please don’t worry if you can’t! I am sure you will be told all about it! What are we learning? Math- Geometry; we will be partitioning circles and rectangles into two, three, or four equal shares as well as continuing to explore 2D and 3D shapes. Reading/ELA- We will continue to look at the main idea/supporting details in multi-paragraph texts. We will also ask and answer who, what, when, why, and how questions about each text. This includes using context clues to help understand the paragraphs we read. Students will also begin to compare and contrast two texts on the same topic/Prefixes Writing- Finishing our Informational unit and moving towards Narrative.
