Hello All!
I hope you all had a great weekend! If you have not returned your child’s permission slip for the Fire Safety Village trip on Feb. 14 please do so ASAP. If your child is trying out for the Talent Show, you can find their try out time on the music blog. As we prepare for 3rd grade we will be making some changes in some of our class procedures. First of all, reading logs are now stapled in your child’s agenda. I really expect a reading log to be completed each week. Also, we will be starting a weekly homework journal. It will come home each Monday and be due back on Friday completed. If you have any questions please let me know. Our 2 first days back were fabulous! I was so happy to see all those sweet, smiling faces! I really missed them! We had some fun doing some Happy New Year activities! Report Cards came home Friday! I hope you were/are as proud of all the great accomplishments as I am! So much to celebrate!! As we move into the 3rd nine weeks I wanted to let you that things will begin to get even more rigorous. Also, I will not be as accepting of effort less than their best. They may be redoing assignments, etc. As we are moving more towards being 3rd graders we will be adjusting some of our procedures. One thing will be the expectation that reading and math games will be done every night. The children will be expected to log the math games and books they read in their agenda each night. We will be working on it next week. What are we learning?
