Parents:
Welcome back! I hope everyone had time this past week to rest, relax and make some great new memories! I can’t wait to hear everyone’s exciting news! Our meetings will be so fun this week! It is crazy to think we are only 5 weeks away from Spring Break! So for these 5 weeks, let’s all buckle down and work extra hard! We have a lot to learn, and fun to have! Remember that the weekly homework is due on Friday, with your signature indicating you have looked over it and agree this is your child’s best. Reading every night is part of this homework. Valentine’s Day was wonderful! We had lots of love to share! Thank you for helping us celebrate each other! Also, thank you to our Valentine Fairies! (Patty and Heather) our snack was delicious and hit the spot when we returned from the field trip. Friday is Dr. Suess’ Birthday. It is Read Across America day, bring $1 and wear your PJ’s as we celebrate! I know a few of you wanted to be mystery readers. I will be looking at days and times and sending emails soon to schedule, and reschedule those! Just wanted you all to know I had not forgotten! Email me if you want to be a reader! Please have your child wear their second grade Kind is the New Cool shirt if they have one. Children are asked to wear tennis shoes and that girls do not wear dresses. If your child is bringing a lunch from home, please make sure that it is in a disposable bag. Keep working on homework. I am attaching a picture of the homework for this week, so you know what I expect it to look like. I still expect the children to copy it and bring it home. It is good practice.
